BIO

Rick and Rebecca Mongeau gave birth to Tana Mongeau on June 24, 1998, in Las Vegas, Nevada, where she was raised. Tana claimed on MTV No Filter that her parents’ poor parenting caused her to have a troubled childhood.

Her upbringing wasn’t easy. She has talked openly about the frequent arguments in her home. She also had a stalker who began following her when she was in the second grade and may or may not still be doing so. He was arrested by Tana, who later released him, and she believes he broke into her former home. Her early exposure to parties, drugs, and alcohol came from growing up in Las Vegas.

Mongeau is openly bisexual.

Before their breakup in June 2017, Somer Hollingsworth was a frequent subject of Mongeau’s vlogs when she first started her YouTube career.

She has also had sporadic relationships with the rappers Lil Xan and Chris Miles.
Jake Paul, a social media influencer, and Mongeau started dating in April 2019. Although many supporters and commentators questioned the validity of the engagement, the couple announced their engagement in June 2019.

TANA MONGEAU INCOME / NET WORTH

Tana has an estimated net worth of $4 million.

Mongeau is a member of a new breed of performers and celebrities who capitalize on controversy rather than avoid it.

She was detained for underage drinking at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in 2017, and a few days later, she started selling t-shirts with her mugshot on them.

Sales of the t-shirts brought in $40,000 in just two days, according to Jordan Worona, talent manager at Mongeau, in an interview with Business Insider.

But because of the nature of a lot of Mongeau’s content, she describes herself as a “struggling demonetized influencer,” which means that, unlike many popular YouTubers, she doesn’t make much money from the platform’s advertising due to the site’s policy of demonetizing videos with offensive or controversial content.

She has therefore been forced to make up the difference by making merchandise sales and producing sponsored content for companies like Lounge Underwear that aren’t afraid of a little controversy (or, in marketing speak, “authenticity”).

FACTS ABOUT TANA MONGEAU

  • She hasn’t, in all honesty. 2015 saw the beginning of her YouTube video posting.
  • She enjoys listening to all genres. You can hear her rapping if you watch her videos.
  • She appreciates music so much for a reason. The thing about music, in Mongeau’s opinion, is that it transcends the barriers that typically divide people.
  • Rapper Idubbbz and Tana got into a fight to the point where he attended one of her public appearances and started yelling things at her from the audience.
  • She doesn’t hesitate to voice her opinion. She can essentially talk about whatever she wants because she has her own YouTube channel.
  • She has a number of singles available. She has so far released three singles, the earliest of which was in 2017.
  • She has also worked as a model. Although she doesn’t consider it to be something she actually set her sights on, it does give her more exposure to help her reach her objectives in the music industry.

IDUBZZZ CONTROVERSY

Over 7 million people have watched a video that Mongeau posted on January 24th, 2017 called “The N Word.”. In the video, she talks about an encounter with a tour member who instructed her to “say nigger” in response to a tweet Mongeau sent to YouTuber iDubbbz telling him to commit suicide for his comedic use of the word in his videos.

It was later revealed that the member was YouTuber iDubbbz. In response, iDubbbz created a video outlining her hypocrisy and citing instances in which she had previously and publicly used the word in an offensive manner. Mongeau posted a video on February 17, 2017, in which she expressed regret for using the term.

TANACON FAIL

The well-known YouTuber went on to try to replicate the Vidcon by calling it the TanaCon and was only partially successful in hosting it.

When Tana got the idea to put on her own convention in 2018, her initial plan was to do so in the same city and on a similar scale as Vidcon 2018, but things didn’t work out the way she had hoped.

Her goal was to replace Vidcon 2017 with the convention because the event’s organizers had failed to make it accessible to fans that year. Due to a lack of permission from the Vidcon team at the time, TanaCon was unable to take place in the same city as that Vidcon post in 2018.

Alternately, Mongeau was able to secure the Mariott Suites in Anaheim, California at that time to host the convention.

She had intended for the panel to include a number of the celebrities that she has collaborated and worked with. She also claims that she had over 20,000 fans in attendance during the convention, but the actual attendance was closer to 4,000 to 5,000.
